Frequently asked Questions

Below are only a few of the most common questions we are asked.

If you have a question, you can call the office or drop us a note on Facebook. If you have a question, it is likely that someone else would benefit from the answer as well.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome but they need to be on a leash and under your full control at all times. They can be with you while hiking and camping and at any of our special events, but they can not not go on Flying M Ranch guided rides.
Do you have room for group functions?

Yes, we can host both large and small functions! Weddings, company picnics, family reunions, birthday parties and more.
There is also a great meeting room in the red ranch house for work meetings and team building retreats.

What are the requirements for riding a Flying M Ranch horse?
No riding experience is required to ride one of our horses. We match the riders with the best horse for them. All kids must be at least 6 years old and there is also a 230 pound weight limit.
Can I bring my own horse to the ranch?
Yes, day use at the ranch is $5 per vehicle, camping is $17 per night per immediate family and horses are $3 per horse per day (day use & camping). You can ride our trails, but this is without a guide. Guided rides can be arranged using your own horse. Our overnight ride is a great option when bringing your horse.
What options are there for eating?
Please NOTE: Sunday morning breakfasts will resume when our new kitched is completed. Please call before you fly in! Thanks.

Sunday mornings at the red ranch house Barbara cooks a family style breakfast, by reservation only. Please call ahead!
There are also Steak Fry Dinner rides, breakfast rides, day long rides, starlight couples rides, overnight rides and private BBQ's all available by reservation.
Can I have a campfire?
Yes, except when fire levels are high. The forestry service enforces this. You can always check prior to your visit. Forestry website.
Remember, Smokey Bear says to keep your camp and fellow campers safe by following all the rules for safe fire use when enjoying the outdoors.
